On June 30, Tsinghua University solemnly held the celebration of the 104th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and the commendation ceremony for advanced individuals. Multiple faculty and student party members from the Department of Psychology, with firm beliefs, solid actions, and outstanding contributions, received numerous honors. They interpret their original aspiration for education with professional wisdom and demonstrate party members' responsibility through pioneering actions, becoming a bright "heart" landscape in Tsinghua Garden.
Comrade Hong Li plays an exemplary role in her work, conscientiously fulfills party member obligations, and enjoys high prestige among the Department of Psychology, her branch, and students. She loves the education cause, implements the fundamental task of cultivating virtue and nurturing people, participated in the reconstruction of the Department of Psychology, has long held important positions, and made outstanding contributions in disciplinary construction, talent introduction, and student cultivation. During the establishment process of the Department of Psychology and Cognitive Sciences, she played a key role in introducing external resources, laying a solid foundation for disciplinary development. She targets frontier problems in psychology with Chinese characteristics and international vision to conduct research, enhancing the core competitiveness of the psychology discipline. In research on philosophical problems of psychology, she opened up new fields, using psychological methods to conduct innovative explorations of three fundamental philosophical problems, providing evidence for the first time at the macroscopic psychological level that "humans use 'cognition' to understand the world," with research results published in top international journals and highly recognized by the international psychology community. Hong Li founded the "psychological framework" theory, proposed the educational concept of reshaping "psychological frameworks" with excellent traditional culture, constructed healthy psychology for Chinese people themselves, and published the textbook "Health Psychology." She emphasizes integrated education combining virtue, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics, and labor, cultivating multiple outstanding doctoral students. She practices using excellent traditional culture to improve adolescent mental health, serving nearly ten thousand adolescents, and opening courses to psychology teachers in western regions, demonstrating the responsibility and achievements of an outstanding communist party member.
Comrade Dan Zhang integrates ideological and political education into all aspects of student education, promotes graduate work reform, undertakes multiple university-level party building projects, with guided teams and individuals receiving university-level honors and social practice awards. Educational effectiveness in scientific research is significant, pioneering the "cognitive intelligence" direction applied psychology master's program and international programs, cultivating interdisciplinary talents, with project teachers receiving Ministry of Education teaching achievement awards and students achieving excellent results in fields such as psychological intervention. He leads the construction reform of the "Intelligent Psychological Measurement" course, receiving support from Ministry of Education and Tsinghua University teaching reform projects, producing fruitful results and leading teams to receive multiple honors in competitions. Comrade Dan Zhang is fair and upright, maintains integrity and self-discipline, emphasizes communication with faculty and students, practically solves problems for faculty and students, establishes himself through virtue, teaches through virtue, and educates through virtue, becoming a mentor and friend to faculty and students, demonstrating the responsibility of educators in the new era.
Comrade Zhen Wu promotes deep integration of branch work with professional work, opens MBM professional direction, establishes new cultivation plans and teaching systems, with the teaching reform innovation team receiving "2024 Tsinghua University Advanced Collective" honor, completing 6 teaching reform projects, reforming 10 university-level professional core courses, and publishing 111 high-quality papers in international journals. She personally received honors such as "Tsinghua University Young Teacher Teaching Excellence Award," curriculum ideological and political demonstration course and demonstration teacher, with branch members receiving national talent projects, annual teaching excellence awards, and multiple other awards. She promotes solid development of branch work, implements "first agenda" and "three meetings and one lesson" systems, organizes branch learning education and warning education on schedule, promotes normalization of branch party discipline learning education, and leads the branch committee to promote party branch construction. She implements democratic centralism, listens to opinions from party members and masses, and plays an exemplary role in the branch. She emphasizes bringing party members' subjective role into play, innovates activity forms such as visiting Tencent headquarters and university history museum, combining theory with practice to enhance party members' learning experience. Her branch was rated as "Advanced Grassroots Party Organization (Party Branch)" in 2023, and she personally received "good" evaluations in branch secretary assessments for two consecutive years.
Comrade Danni Chen is rigorous and pragmatic, studies diligently, actively responds to major national needs to conduct multiple scientific research projects, has published 2 SCI papers, and develops comprehensively in virtue, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics, and labor. She once served as Discipline Committee member of Social Sciences Doctoral Class 232 Party Branch and Secretary of Social Sciences Doctoral Class 232 Youth League Branch. She actively constructs and implements an integrated work system for party, league, and class organizations, uniting party members and masses, and received the "Class and League Development Plan" Excellence Award during her tenure. She currently serves as Secretary of Psychology Graduate Year 2 Party Branch and Class Assistant for Psychology Graduate Year 2, actively completing various tasks issued by higher-level party organizations, conscientiously fulfilling class leadership responsibilities, with her party branch meeting regulatory evaluation requirements in all aspects during the 2024-2025 assessment, and personally being rated as excellent in the 2023 and 2024 party member democratic evaluations. She resolutely implements the work requirement of "comprehensive coverage, not missing anyone" and maintains close contact with masses. She has received Tsinghua University Huiyan Talent Scholarship and Tsinghua University Outstanding Student Cadre honor.
Comrade Jiaju Jing has served as Secretary of Psychology Graduate Year 1 Party Branch since September 2024. Facing problems such as new organization establishment, complex member structure, and weak party member foundation, he focuses on constructing service-oriented party branch goals, integrates psychological resources, extensively contacts masses, and explores party building pathways with disciplinary characteristics. The branch established clear mechanisms, strictly implements systems such as "three meetings and one lesson," has conducted 9 organizational activities with 100% attendance rate, clear division of branch committee responsibilities, and received "excellent" rating in 2024 democratic evaluation. He promotes establishment of a four-level liaison mechanism of "party branch—laboratory—party members—masses," achieving 100% coverage of masses, and serving individual people and "urgent, important, difficult" problems 4 times each. Relying on professional advantages, he leads the "Warm Winter Heart Language" psychological mutual aid project, serving more than one hundred graduate students, with multiple branch members participating in on-campus psychological support work. Throughout the year, he developed 1 party member and cultivated 3 activists, completed 24 one-on-one heart-to-heart talks, achieving full coverage and timely feedback, promoting continuous improvement of branch cohesion and service capacity.
They either pioneer and innovate at disciplinary frontiers, or cultivate deeply in educational gardens, or invest wholeheartedly in branch work, or develop comprehensively in research and practice. Their stories are the brilliance of original aspirations in ordinary positions and the practice of missions in professional fields.
